The very talented Anne Odeke has penned a one woman show that is based on
the historical journey of one Black woman’s insistence to be included in a
beauty pageant, right here in Southend in the early 1900’s.
This beautiful story will be mounted as a stage production and touring Essex
and surrounding areas, but will be coming to the Balmoral Centre in Westcliff-
on-Sea on Saturday, 26 th February 2022. Anne is definitely one local Essex
woman that we can all support, as this will be one of the first performances of
the tour.
Show starts at 7.30p.m. and tickets are £8.65-£10.65 per person.
