Often dubbed ‘romantic reggae’, Lovers Rock is a unique British sound developed against a backdrop of racial tension. Starring; Janet Kay, Maxi Priest, Denis Bovell, Robbie Gee, Eddie Nester, among others. It combines comedy, live performances, interviews and archive footage and it shed light on the music and the generation that embraced it.
